ORGANISERS of Nafferton's senior citizens' Lunch Box have thanked the volunteers and local businesses who helped them to stage this week's event.
The gathering, which has previously been Circular Tins staged as a tea, has been an cup coaster annual feature of village life for more than 40 years.
And almost 70 residents again gathered at the village hall on Saturday for a spread of soups, cold meats, salad and new potatoes, followed by gateau.
The lunch was organised by the village’s Womens’ Institute, whose president Heather Winn thanked everyone who helped to make the lunch possible, including the Nafferton Feoffees, the Londis shop, Primepak Foods and Rafters for their donations, and the Nafferton Millennium Committee for help with transport.
